What is a Hardside Waterbed? A hardside waterbed uses a rigid wooden frame that the water bladder sits inside directly. It has the classic, traditional waterbed look and feel. Unlike a softside waterbed — which fits inside any standard bed frame — a hardside requires a dedicated waterbed frame.

This listing is for the bladder only. Hardside cover systems are available separately and can enhance comfort and protect your bladder — but they are not required for use with a hardside waterbed frame.

• Wave Level: Semi-waveless — moderate motion dampening through two layers of wave control fiber; more motion than the 9254, less than free flow. A good entry point for sleepers transitioning from a free flow bladder who want some wave reduction.

• Best For: Sleepers who want a taste of wave reduction while retaining more of the classic waterbed motion
